Timing & context
Bernard describes going out to the landscape immediately after the meal and staying until five. The morning departure time is not given.
Fellow painter Émile Bernard explicitly calls this Cézanne’s daily routine. The calendar follows Bernard’s recollection, quoted in Eddy’s 1914 book. Meal and return times are estimated; the pattern was not without exceptions.
The working routine Émile Bernard witnessed during his February 1904 visit. This is a recollection of repeated habits during that period, not a lifelong timetable.
